Moorabbin Magic Basketball Club Inc is a family orientated, local, not for profit basketball Club. Incorporated in 1996, it is one of 7 member clubs of The McKinnon Basketball Association (MBA).
We welcome any new player to our Club and will endeavour, to the best of our abilities, to give a great experience to each player and to teach the fundamentals of the game of basketball. Our goal is participation and enjoyment. Our Club mission is to:
- Provide equal opportunity to players in our community regardless of gender, age, race, religion or colour.
- Further, develop the growth of basketball in the local community.
- Develop all players to the maximum of their ability in a fun & safe environment.
Moorabbin Magic is a not for profit Club with a voluntary committee and teams of volunteers who coach, manage and administer the Club. The Club employs a Coaching Coordinator to ensure the smooth running of the teams from season to season and to establish a rapport with the players. It is that person’s responsibility to ensure a player’s potential is recognised and channelled in the right direction. We have teams for all ages from U9’s to open age playing in the Winter (terms 2 & 3) and Summer (terms 4 & 1) Seasons.
Player pathways exist for players wanting to take their basketball to the next level. For example, through the MBA Representative program.
